God has a plan for your life. He plans to help you become the person you were created to become in the same way that a parent works to help their child become the person they were meant to become. Parents will instruct and redirect their children in order to keep them from harm but also in an effort to teach them to listen and trust their voice. God does the same with His children.

There is a scripture that tells us that obedience is better than sacrifice. It means that God doesn’t want a sacrifice offered out of obligation or as a way to dodge consequences for our behaviors. He wants us to obey out of our love for Him and His gift of eternal life through Jesus. He wants us to obey Him because of what He’s already done for us and because we trust that He knows what’s best for us. The more you come to know Him, the easier it will be to trust Him. Each and every time.
