We’ve come to the last day of our time together, but like so many things in the kingdom of God the end is just the beginning. You have a whole lifetime before you to grow in your relationship with God. We hope that the past 21 days has helped you take steps forward in your faith. Before we go, there’s one more area that we’d like to talk about with you. It’s called the Great Commission.

You see, after Jesus died and was resurrected, he spent 40 days walking the earth with His disciples before He returned to heaven. Right before He left them, He said this, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This statement is what is known as the Great Commission.

At least 21 days ago, you received good news. The news that God loves you so much that He sent His son Jesus to die for you. The Great Commission is an encouragement for you to share your good news with others. So pick a friend, tell them about your life before coming to know Jesus Tell them about why you decided to follow Jesus. Also, be sure to let them know about what you are learning and what God is doing in your life right now. It is our experience that people love good news and the Gospel of Jesus and your faith in Him is really good news.
